Colors rising

A week or two ago, my morning walk was occasionally later than usual and thus coincided with the sun starting its morning journey. On the crest of the hill, Peters Hill, near the orchard, this crabapple tree framed the sunrise for me. What a delight! I should say that I’m assuming it’s a crabapple tree – it was too dark to read the tag and, honestly, I didn’t really care that much.

 If you walk from Flora Way toward the Poplar Gate and make a right up the path through the orchard, odds are you’ll see this tree. A delight at any time of day but particularly graceful at dawn!
