Odd growth

I love the yews for the way they create almost circular nests of trunks, seemingly their own community within the larger community of the woods. There are plenty of them around the Arboretum and they often seem to have an air of mystery about them - what’s going on inside this circle?
That said, I’ve found it difficult to shoot a satisfactory image of that circle of trunks. In fact, I’ve just reviewed over 5 years of shots of yews in the Arb and there’s not one that works. That’s not to say I don’t have some lovely shots, like this one, that hints at this interior community. But it doesn’t portray it.
Maybe I’ll try and if I put attention on this perhaps I’ll get something worthwhile. It doesn’t really matter, I suppose - just looking and remembering might be sufficient. That’s true of a lot of things in life, especially now. I don’t want to let it be erased…
