Forgiveness and peace
Pardon me if I’m a bit obscure here. “Forgiveness and peace” is part of what I ask for in my morning metta meditation - first for myself and then for my family and then finally for all living beings. (It’s a grounding and uplifting practice and you should look into it. Here’s a link to one of a zillion articles about it.)
I mention this because I know I’m not alone in feeling the stress and chaos of this time. Would that I believed that we’d see a dramatic shift after the election even if it turns out as I hope. We’ve got a lot of work in front of us, a lot of cleaning up, a lot of truth-telling as well as compassion and, yes, forgiveness.
So I offer you this image, a throw-back to my work of the past few years, work that seems to me to be virtually complete. It is a recognition that while we may see things blurred, we can take comfort in soft autumn colors and calm waters.
May you be filled with love and free of fear.
