Sky
Somehow it’s October and the atmosphere seems to have changed with the calendar. I seem to remember from my years in New Hampshire that the seasons with low rainfall seemed to have less colorful foliage. Is that right? We’ll find out since this year the rainfall has been lots less than the garden needs.
So it pleased me that the sky joined in to accentuate the early fall colors. The grays and blues serve to offset the yellow-oranges and the greens. What a delight! And as if that weren’t help enough, the clouds swirl in a way that contrasts with the static, stately branches with their load of leaves.
I find it comforting that if I can just slow down enough to really look (and that’s not so easy with what’s going on every day lately), there is beauty and grace to be found. We’re lucky to be alive.
