Welcome to the dance…

There’s something about this image that captures a sense of movement. Perhaps it’s in the way the branches and the leaves seem to circle around each other. Or perhaps it’s that old, gnarled tree sitting a bit off center, adding to a sense of movement.

Somehow this scene speaks to me of autumn, which is a bit odd, considering how vibrant the greens and yellows are, not the colors I think of as autumnal. Yes, of course, I was there and it was chilly so that may inform my thinking.

What I come back to is the feeling of dancing, that everything in this image is moving relative to every other thing. And there’s an order and sequence to the movement. As in dance. Whatever it is, I like it. Do you see that? Or something else? Do let me know…
