Evening wade, Woods Hole, 2016

It had been a week of humid, hot days, and the end wasn't in sight. Evenings were marginally better as the day's heat slowly subsided. A walk in the cooler air as the sun set seemed to ease us into the evening. As we walked, we were drawn to the beach. The sun was almost down when we arrived and it was hard to resist the water, even if unprepared with suits and towels. A quick dip can make all the difference in your attitude, especially as the night air evaporates the water as you walk home. Ask these folks!
